Directions: Please use the following information to complete this assignment:
1. Please use a calculator.
2. The person is 24 years old.
3. Their resting heart rate is 70 bpm (RHR).

Purpose: To identify a target heart rate zone which is safe
for you to maintain and achieve a training effect.

1. Determine the maximum heart rate according to the given age.

2. Determine the resting heart rate. (Take pulse for six seconds then add a zero- prior to any exercise). SUBTRACT RHR from MHR. -    -

3. Multiply the percentage for the given limit with the answers on
Line A. (Lower Limit=60% or 0.60; Upper Limit=90% or0.90).
4. Add the original RHR figure back into the equation.
Then place the answer on Line B.
6. ROUND the answers from Line B.

after the decimal point is 5 or greater.
i.e. 124.7=125
b. Round the numbers DOWN if the number
after the decimal point is 4 or lower.
